Our Townhall topic for November 3rd 2010 was Sales Secrets Revealed!


Our panelists were:


Clint Best: Clint is a local certified business coach and mentor with global experience. He has opened and managed operations in Hong Kong, Vietnam, South Korea, San Francisco and New York for the Duty Free Shoppers Group as the Country Manager. Prior to that … he managed 8 large scale retail operations over 12 years for the Hudson Bay Company where he won numerous awards for sales and profitability, including the HBC Presidents Award in 1993.


He is the Founder and for the past 8 years has been operating KAIZEN Business Development … a company that provides a "big picture perspective" to take your company to the next level. For those of us not fluent in Japanese, KAIZEN is a Japanese word which translates to mean "continuous improvement." 


He  has served as a Member Ambassador for the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce and he is also the Chairman of the Board for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Okanagan.


Pierre Piché: He began his entrepreneurial journey early in life with a framing eyeglass business as his very first work/job experience.  Over the years he has taken various career positions in the food sector, managing a Kelsey’s restaurant and selling transit advertising. In 2003 he and his partner Amber, who is also his wife, launched the MOTEAS tea company, here in the Okanagan . MOTEAS is a company committed to make a difference in the world through offering high quality organic tea products at reasonable pricing.


He describes himself as a self-starter, someone that is often called an “Activator”. He believes that it is better to get your feet wet and make a few mistakes than to never step in the water, and simply watch the wave pass by. Somewhat of a philosopher too it would seem.


He is passionate about helping people develop personally as well as with their business.  He has worked with hundreds of companies in a wide range of industries that looked to him for advice and expertise in business development.


Donald Robichaud: His career spans thirty years of extensive sales, marketing and corporate account management experience. The first twenty were spent in the Retail Sector with companies such as DYLEX, The Bay, Robinson/Ogilvy and Harry Rosen's.


For the past 10 years his focus has been in the High Tech Sector working with Small to Medium Businesses and IT providers developing hands on practical business sales & marketing solutions for today's business environment.

As owner of Floodlight Business Solutions, here in Kelowna, his goal as a business coach and consultant is to help you "Build Your Business."  "Think twice, act once" is a credo that he follows. FloodLight Sales, Marketing and Branding Solutions help to increase sales and profits while enhancing and optimizing core business competencies.



He is very active as a volunteer in Kelowna and has applied his skills to assist the Rotary Centre for the Arts in the areas of Marketing, Fund Raising and the Facility users committee. At the present time he sits as an Executive Director and is the chair of the annual "Mayor's Summer Dreams Breakfast". Don has also served as an Ambassador for the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce.
